Our Story

From a kitchen table to a nationwide staffing partner — shaped by faith, perseverance, and people.
Founded at the Kitchen Table
JMI Resource was founded by Marty and Christina Davenport following years of experience in the staffing industry and much prayerful consideration. The company was born not out of ambition alone, but out of obedience — a conviction to use God-given talents as a platform to serve others with excellence and integrity.
From Side Hustle to Full-Time Mission
In the early years, JMI grew steadily as Christina balanced full-time work as an HR Specialist while supporting the business during evenings and weekends. As demand increased and relationships deepened, JMI Resource reached a turning point — requiring full-time leadership and focused growth. What followed was a transformation from a small, family-run operation into a trusted staffing partner serving hundreds of employees daily across Florida.
Resilience Through Crisis
Amid the challenges of COVID-19, JMI Resource was called upon to support essential businesses by providing critical staffing solutions during a time of uncertainty. At the same time, Christina faced an unexpected personal challenge when her husband suffered a serious accident. Leading the company through operational disruption while caring for her family required resilience, faith, and determination. Through it all, JMI not only endured — but grew.
When Challenges Arise, JMI Shows Up
That season reinforced what had always defined the company. Today, following the acquisition of 5-Star Staffing Solutions, JMI Resource operates as a nationwide staffing partner supporting placements across multiple states — including executive-level, highly skilled, and operational roles. From a kitchen table to a growing, multi-state organization, the mission remains the same.
