Job Description
Senior Product Manager
St. Petersburg, FL
Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation: $130k-150k Annually
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to translate customer needs into finished, customer-ready products across two key commercial sectors: Disney and Hospitality.
This is a senior individual contributor role operating at the intersection of customer requirements, design, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, pricing, and commercial strategy. The position requires exceptional cross-functional leadership and the ability to align Sales, Engineering, Design, Production, Quality Assurance, Business Operations, customers, and executive leadership without direct authority.
The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, brings structure to complex initiatives, and is focused on delivering the right product at the right value—not simply meeting deadlines.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product definition efforts by translating customer needs into clear requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria, and measurable success metrics.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Engineering, Design, Production, Quality Assurance, Business Operations, and customer stakeholders to ensure product objectives align with technical feasibility, manufacturing capabilities, quality expectations, pricing strategies, and customer value.
- Support product discovery, scoping, and quoting activities by evaluating use cases, materials, finish requirements, tolerances, installation environments, production complexity, timelines, quantities, and associated risks.
- Own or provide guidance on value-based pricing strategies for development projects, MVPs, prototypes, and production runs, ensuring alignment with customer value, technical complexity, profitability targets, and scalability opportunities.
- Participate in production reviews and team meetings to maintain alignment, address evolving requirements, remove obstacles, and facilitate timely decision-making.
- Evaluate finished products against customer requirements prior to shipment and proactively communicate concerns related to quality, specifications, or customer expectations.
- Capture lessons learned from custom projects and convert them into improved specifications, quality standards, pricing models, operational processes, and scalable workflows.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means consistently delivering products that meet customer expectations while supporting business objectives and profitability goals.
Key outcomes include:
- Improved product requirements and specifications before production begins.
- Reduced ambiguity and stronger collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Fewer product quality issues and missed customer expectations.
- Enhanced pricing discipline and profitability.
- Increased ability to transform custom projects into repeatable product families and scalable manufacturing workflows.
- Recognition as a trusted product leader who effectively guides trade-off decisions, builds alignment, and helps mature the organization's product management function.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organized, customer-focused, and technically proficient enough to work effectively with engineers, designers, production teams, and customers.
They possess strong stakeholder management skills, can understand technical constraints, ask insightful questions, simplify complex information, and successfully bridge the gap between customer expectations and manufacturing realities.
This individual brings the maturity, judgment, and leadership presence necessary to influence teams and drive results without direct authority.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Product Development, Program Management, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Experience working with physical products, manufacturing, fabrication, industrial design, furniture, hospitality, architecture, themed entertainment, OEM products, or custom production environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct reporting relationships.
- Strong capability to translate customer requirements into actionable specifications, acceptance criteria, and execution plans.
- Comfortable discussing CAD drawings, materials, finishes, tolerances, manufacturing constraints, quality standards, pricing structures, and production economics.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, including experience with value-based pricing, prototype pricing, development pricing, and production pricing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, commercial, and customer-facing teams.
- Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site production environment.
