Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee all aspects of our Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) facility. This leader will be responsible for ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and profitably while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and workforce development.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in advanced manufacturing, robotics, or LFAM technologies, along with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering measurable operational results. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a project-oriented environment, adapts quickly to evolving customer requirements, and collaborates effectively across technical and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to maximize efficiency, throughput, and profitability.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including robot uptime, production throughput, quality metrics, and inventory performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing on-site team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and operational excellence.
- Support employee growth through coaching and performance management.
Process Optimization
- Partner with engineering and technical teams to implement and refine advanced manufacturing processes.
- Support integration and optimization of robotics, automation, and LFAM technologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and process reliability.
Supply Chain & Vendor Management
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure continuity of operations.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while balancing cost and production requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics partners to improve supply chain performance.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support company growth objectives.
- Lead initiatives related to process improvement, cost reduction, and capacity expansion.
- Align facility operations with organizational goals and customer requirements.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable industry regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment and maintain adherence to all safety protocols.
- Support continuous improvement of quality management systems.
Financial Oversight
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Support financial planning and reporting activities.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Significant experience with Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM), robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Demonstrated success managing operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Work Environment
This position operates within a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to machinery, equipment noise, and varying temperatures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
